The school counselor offers a comprehensive guidance and counseling program including many services and resources to address the needs of the students. The responsive services include individual counseling, group counseling, and classroom guidance lessons. Activities to address social/emotional growth, academic achievement, and career awareness are provided to develop the knowledge and skills needed to become mentally and socially healthy learners. Resources are also provided for parents, grandparents, and guardians of students attending BLPS including consultation, referrals to outside agencies and classes. The theme is "enter feeling like a caterpillar and leave feeling like a butterfly."
