Last night, our first graders took the stage at the Lexington Three Fine Arts Center for their adorable music program, “E-I-E-I Oops!” Over the past few weeks, students have been hard at work preparing for the performance .... including mooing, baa’ing, quacking, and oinking their way through songs and dances that brought plenty of smiles and giggles along the way. Their enthusiasm and energy shined on stage last night as they shared their hard work with family and friends. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our talented first graders and helped make the night so special. We are so proud of these young performers!

🚨 Tornado Drill on Wednesday 🌪️
On Wednesday, March 11th, Lexington Three schools will join schools across the Palmetto State in participating in a statewide tornado drill. The drill is part of South Carolina Severe Weather and Flood Safety Week. This is a great opportunity for our students and staff to practice our severe weather and tornado safety procedures so we are prepared in the event of an emergency. Don’t be alarmed! This is only a drill designed to help keep our school community safe and ready. Safety first, Panthers!

Last week at B-L Primary School, Media Specialist Amy Bedenbaugh led a meaningful and heartfelt activity with our 1st- and 2nd-grade students. After reading The Cardinal’s Gift—a story about finding hope and healing after the loss of a loved one—Mrs. Bedenbaugh invited students to write the name of someone special they’ve lost on a card and place it on our remembrance tree. Students also had the option to create a card to take home. This simple gesture has provided comfort and connection for many of our young learners. We are proud of our students for expressing their feelings in such thoughtful ways and we are grateful to Mrs. Bedenbaugh for creating this space for healing and reflection.

Our 5K traditional classes visited Generations of Batesburg-Leesville today to spread holiday cheer! Students performed a variety of festive songs and gave the residents handmade cards. What a joyous morning!

Get ready to "Fuel Up" like a champion! On Thursday, November 20th, we’re celebrating our Child Nutrition Department’s Big Thursday event! Students and staff are encouraged to wear their favorite team colors (Clemson or Carolina), enjoy lunch in the cafeteria, and be entered to win a prize just for participating! A little background: Big Thursday was once a major South Carolina tradition—a yearly rivalry game between the Clemson Tigers and USC Gamecocks held at the State Fairgrounds from 1896 to 1959. Although the rivalry moved to a home-and-home series in 1960, the spirit of Big Thursday still lives on in celebrations like ours. Join the fun, show your colors, and fuel up for a fantastic day!
