Charlene High Assumes Role of Early Learning and Parenting Services Coordinator

On Wednesday, March 23rd, Lexington County School District Three announced that Mrs. Charlene High, principal of Batesburg-Leesville Primary School, will be transitioning into a new role as the Coordinator of Early Learning and Parenting Services. The need for services of this kind in Lexington School District Three has intensified as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Mrs. High will assume her district responsibilities on Thursday, March 24th. As the Coordinator of Early Learning and Parenting Services, Mrs. High will work to improve early childhood services, including parent outreach, academic intervention, and identification of preschool-age special needs students. She will oversee Lexington Three’s 4K program, coordinate the district’s BOOST classes, and serve as the liaison between the school district and the community’s private preschool sector. 

Also beginning on Thursday, March 24th, Mrs. Angie Mishoe will step in to serve as the Interim Principal of Batesburg-Leesville Primary School for the duration of the 2021-2022 school year. Mrs. Mishoe, who currently is Lexington Three’s Director of Special Services, previously worked at Batesburg-Leesville Primary School as the school’s Instructional Coordinator. She has also served as the Assistant Principal of Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School.
