On Thursday, April 28th, funeral services for Cayce Police Officer Drew Barr will be held at the Lexington County School District Three Fine Arts Center which is located on the campus of B-L High School. Officer Barr was killed in the line of duty this past weekend. Visitation will begin at 3 pm and the funeral service will begin at 5 pm.
Early that afternoon, a very large crowd is expected to descend upon the town of Batesburg-Leesville as first responders, family members, and friends come to pay their final respects.
As a result, Lexington Three is making the following changes to scheduling on Thursday, April 28th:
B-L Primary School: Car riders will begin dismissing at 1:30 pm and bus riders will begin dismissing at 1:45 pm. Please note that officers will be stationed at the Summerland Avenue exits of BLPS encouraging everyone to turn right off of the campus. No left-hand turns will be permitted onto Summerland Avenue on Thursday afternoon.
B-L High School: All students will dismiss at 12:30 pm.
Please note that regular schedules will remain in place for B-L Elementary and B-L Middle Schools.
