Lexington County School District Three announces that Friday, November 11th will be an eLearning Day for students and staff members across the district due to the potential for severe weather resulting from Hurricane Nicole. District administrators have been working closely with emergency preparedness officials to monitor the potential impacts the storm could bring to our district. Forecasters anticipate strong wind gusts on Friday morning that would make it unsafe to safely transport students on district buses. Per SC Department of Education regulations, buses are not allowed to operate in high winds. In addition, the threat for tornadoes in our area remains high on Friday.
The move to eLearning on November 11th means that any scheduled school-related activities such as games, practices, meetings, etc. are canceled. Our highest priority in Lexington Three is the safety of our students and staff and all decisions are made with this in mind. More specific information regarding the eLearning Day on Friday, November 11th can be found below.
