We held an official Opening Ceremony today for our SRC and students are SO excited to continue learning and growing over the next couple of weeks!
Our B-L Primary School students put on a terrific musical performance last night in the Fine Arts Center as they "Rocked Around the '50s!" Their costumes and songs were spot on and they brought smiles to everyone who was in attendance. As an added bonus, parents got to see their artwork which was displayed in the front lobby of the Fine Arts Center. We love our Panthers!
The month of April is designated as "the month of the military child" so we've been showing some extra love this week to our B-L Primary School students who have parents who serve our country. These students have appeared on the school's morning news show and our staff wore purple on Monday, April 15th to show their support on "Purple Up Day." The color purple — known by the military community to symbolize all services united — is used during April to show support and thank military children, youth and teens for their strength and sacrifices. Pictured are just a few of the students we've recognized this week!
Another FANTASTIC and FUN enrichment week in Lexington Three is just about in the books! Our students have had the best time the past few days participating in a wide variety of camps including metal detecting camp, Lego camp, cooking with a good book camp, soccer camp, moving west camp and podcasting camp....just to name a few! Our enrichment weeks provide staff members with an opportunity to get to build even deeper relationships with our precious Panthers and expose them to a wide variety of extracurricular activities that they might not otherwise have an opportunity to experience. We also get the chance to help children who may need just a little bit of extra academic assistance. All in all, enrichment weeks are just one more way that we get to show some additional love to the children of the Batesburg-Leesville community. Visit our Facebook page for a ton of pics!
Congratulations to students in Ms. Brandau's class at B-L Primary School on being published authors! The class wrote and published a book titled "This Is Me." They received their very own copies yesterday!
There were tons of smiles at B-L Primary School this morning as students and teachers brought their favorite characters to life in the school's annual Book Parade! From whimsical wizards to courageous superheroes, our halls were filled with the spirit of imagination and adventure! A special thanks to all of our Panther families who braved the rain to come and support our students!
Due to the forecasted heavy rain this Wednesday, March 6th the B-L Primary School Book Parade is being moved back to the school (it was originally scheduled to be held at the B-L High School track). The parade will begin at 8:45 am. Parents may view the parade in the BLPS cafeteria. We appreciate your support and patience as we try to accommodate all of our Panther families!
Lexington County School District Three is excited to show off its personalized learning programs today and tomorrow to a group from the Kalispell Public School District in Montana! 🌟 Exciting News from B-L Primary School! 🌟 We are thrilled to announce that BLPS's very own art teacher, Livi Crowell, has been selected as a WLTX News 19 Teacher of the Week! News 19 anchor Christy Calcagno and her camera crew surprised Ms. Crowell with this well-deserved honor on Thursday, December 14th. (We had to keep the big news a secret until now!) Ms. Crowell is in her second year of teaching in Lexington School District Three and we couldn't be more proud of her dedication and passion for shaping young minds through art. Join us in congratulating Ms. Crowell on this incredible achievement! Be sure to watch WLTX News 19 today at 5 pm to see her video!

First and second grade students at B-L Primary School put on a fantastic holiday show last night at the Lexington Three Fine Arts Center. There was even a guest appearance by Mrs. Clause (aka Principal Tillman), a reindeer dance performed by the teachers and Pawley the Panther showed up in a sleigh! We hope everyone who attended had a wonderful time and left with their holiday spirit a little brighter!
B-L Primary School's 4K students ⭐️wowed⭐️ onlookers yesterday with their amazing "floats" during the school's annual Box Parade. This event is always a favorite during the holiday season as students get to put their creativity on full display!
Lexington Three hosted its first ever Farm to Table event on Saturday, December 2nd at B-L Primary School. Select families were invited to attend the special farmers market where they received a $60 voucher to obtain items such as local honey, gallons of milk, sweet potatoes, pecans, peaches, grits, peas, butternut squash, tomatoes and so much more! Families also received food recipes that they could make with some of the items and could even sample the recipes! Our school nurses were also on hand with great health info as well. A special thanks to our Food Services Department for organizing the event and to the SC Department of Agriculture for providing the funding. What a great example of Panthers helping Panthers!
